This perpetual trophy was first presented to the winners at the second year of the US Open in 1969. The 1968 winners’ names, Maria Bueno and Margaret Smith Court, were inscribed at a later date. The reigning champions in 2023 are Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe of New Zealand who defeated German Laura Siegemund and Russian Vera Zvonareva, 7-6 (11-9), 6-3 to bring home the title.
