This perpetual trophy was first presented to the winners at the second year of the US Open in 1969. The 1968 winners’ names, Bob Lutz and Stan Smith, were inscribed at a later date. The reigning champions in 2023 are American Rajeev Ram and British Joe Salisbury, who defeated Indian Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden of New Zealand 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
