1978 Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Championship Trophy presented to Martina Navratilova


Martina Navratilova’s tennis greatness shone most brightly on the grass courts in London. Throughout her career, Navratilova won 9 singles titles at Wimbledon, setting the record for both men and women. Her first title was in 1978, where she defeated Chris Evert 2-6, 6-4, 5-7.
