2005 US Open Women’s Singles Championship Trophy presented to Kim Clijsters

Kim Clijsters had a stellar career, with her first major title coming at the US Open in 2005, where she defeated Mary Pierce in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Although this was her first major, her most memorable title came later, with her iconic win again at the US Open in 2009, when she entered the tournament as an unseeded wild card after a brief retirement, during which she gave birth to her daughter. She would again win the US Open in 2010, and the Australian Open in 2011.
