The Newport Casino Invitation Tournament was played at the Newport Casino from 1915 to 1967.

Following the U.S. National Men’s Championships’ move from Newport to Forest Hills, championship tennis continued with the Newport Casino Invitation Tournament. Played every year before the U.S. National Championships, the Casino Invitation welcomed the best international players to hone their play during America’s grass court season. For fifty-two years, the Invitation played host to many of the game’s greatest champions.
