Wimbledon became the final major to offer equal pay in 2007, largely in part due to Venus William’s advocacy. This historic moment is memorialized by a trophy, which features a tennis ball from 2007 Wimbledon, perched on the wooden base underneath the crystal structure of the trophy. The ball is signed by the 2007 Wimbledon finalist, Marion Bartoli, and the victor, none other than Venus Williams herself.
